Subway

This regular Subway is like any other subway, it is located and situateddeep underneath of any large, urban city on Earth. Featured in Mortal Kombat 3, players fought on one of the tracks, which seemed to be unoccupied throughout the match. The route sign in the stage read BOON/TOBIAS (which were placed there as station names, as seen due to the sign changing to NORTH/SOUTH in Armageddon). As a Stage Fatality, the victim could be uppercutted through the roof and back down to the other side where a passing train smashes into them.

Returning for Mortal Kombat Armageddon, the fight is taken to the platform this time around. The arena receives visual changes such as dimmer lighting and promotional posters of Caged Rage stamped against the walls and a closed off entry, along the the promotional posters of Lt. Sonya Blade as advertisement for the U.S. Special Forces with the motto "We want you". Players can knock one another against cans and benches as well as smash one into the ceiling. The Stage Fatality remains unchanged though now the gore can be seen. Also, now the train runs by from time to time, instead of only appearing when someone is knocked down onto the tracks.

It reappears in the most recent Mortal Kombat video game, where it again receives a visual upgrade. A large mural of the Netherrealm Studios logo adorns a wall, as does Kitana's render from Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. The stage fatality receives a reimagining, also. The victor drags the opponent to the edge of the arena, holding their head in front of a passing train. The collision smashes the windows as it passes, smearing blood across the sides of the carriages as the head drags against the metal. The winner then tosses the loser across the arena to the other tracks, where another train runs the opponent over while the opponent is still airborne.
