Nexus

The Nexus arena first appeared in Mortal Kombat Deception during the Konquest mode. This area is first seen after Shujinko finds the first Kamidogu. This area serves as a go-between between realms. In Mortal Kombat: Deception's versus mode, this area contains a death trap where the opponent is hit off the area and thrown into clouds surrounding the arena -- before an unceremonious descent into the Void.

The Nexus contains an altar upon which the six Kamidogu's of Shujinko's quest, plus Shinnok's amulet, might be placed. When so gathered, it is believed that a portal to the Elder Gods will open.
