The Bridge as it's simply called, is another urban area turned into a arena and it is located in a city somewhere on Earth, and normally it is a regular city bridge found in every city and other populated urban areas on the planet. It first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3.
Description
True to its name, the Bridge is barren city bridge with wind constantly howling in the background and papers flying about. And it is all happening during Shao Kahn's invasion of Earthrealm. The Bridge leads to another arena, the Street.
This area was inspired by Wacker Drive in Chicago.
In Mortal Kombat (2011), a new 3D design of the Mortal Kombat 3 arena appears. In the background, there is no sunset. A new design of backround is morning or daylight. Also, shown a large monster can be seen destroying a building, as well as a dragon chasing boat. A billboard displaying an advertisment for Johnny Cage's film Ninja Mime is also viewable. An arena fatality is available involving the victim laying facedown as he or she is run over by a taxi.
