This dangerous jungle-like region is known as the "Botan Jungle." It is located in Earthrealm and it made its debut in the Konquest mode of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
This dense jungle is where Taven begins his quest as he finds and reaches hisfather's temple to seek answers. The Red Dragon clan operate heavily in the area, as Daegon has them waiting for Taven's arrival. The Black Dragon thugs including Kobra and Kira, led by Kabal, learned about the Red Dragon scouts, and prepared to attack the Temple of Argus. Taven happened to stumble upon them as they were preparing to attack and managed to stop them all.
It is a selectable arena in versus mode, as well.
